COVID-19 Fund: Women’s Health Research

THE WOMEN’S HEALTH RESEARCH INSTITUTE’S COVID-19 STUDY
Investment Needed: $125,000

While no one is untouched by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we know from past epidemics that the lasting effects will disproportionately affect women.

The Women’s Health Research Institute (WHRI) is leading a ground-breaking study titled RESPPONSE (Rapid Evidence Study of a Provincial Population Based Cohort for Gender and Sex). They are examining two important topics: COVID-19’s prevalence in the population of BC; and how sex and gender intersect with the impacts of the public health measures.

Make a donation today to help support this vital research and ensure the pandemic does not exacerbate existing inequities already faced by women in BC.

CHRONIC FATIGUE and COVID-19
Investment Needed: $247,000

He and his interdisciplinary clinical team and their partners are seeking support to launch innovative, patient centered research projects to answer questions related to COVID-19 and complex chronic diseases.

With your support, their work will accelerate progress in developing cost-effective treatments for those with complex chronic diseases – and will also shed new light on the best treatments and supports for the growing number of COVID-19 survivors who suffer from long term chronic fatigue.
