The Young Women’s Council in support of the BC Women’s Health Foundation is excited to launch the inaugural YWC Virtual Wellness Week. We want to gather our community to discuss topics that are central to keeping women healthy, encourage creativity and body positivity, collectively move our bodies and make connections with each other and our community in a meaningful way.

The week will consist of three virtual events complete with incredible speakers and facilitators. Attend them all for the complete experience, or tune in for just one:

Luv Your Form | Virtual Art Workshop | November 4, 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Connect with U | Virtual Movement Class | November 7, 11:30 – 12:30 pm

Hormones & 2020 | Virtual Health Panel | November 2nd, 6:30 – 7:30 pm

Hormones. There’s so much to say about the topic, but the Young Women’s Council wants to start somewhere.

Join us with Dr. Renee Fernandez and Dr. Bobby Parmar as we dive into some hormone ‘need to knows’, contextualized in the year that has been 2020. Learn about women’s hormones and their impact on, well, everything!

Luv Your Form | Virtual Art Workshop | November 4th, 6:30 – 8:00 pm

Love yourself through art.

This is going to be a truly special evening with artist Tori Swanson as she takes us on a creative journey in self expression. Attend this virtual event prepared with a drawing tool, something to draw on and a full body picture of yourself (polaroid, iPhone photo, etc.)

Connect with U | Virtual Movement Class | November 7th, 11:30 – 12:30 pm

Join A La Ligne pilates instructors, Katie McKenzie and Taren Grewall for one of their signature classes: The Block. 

This virtual 45-minute movement-based class that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and connected to mind, body & soul. All you will need for this class is your mat, a towel and some water.

The Young Women’s Council supports the BC Women’s Health Foundation by fostering a broader, bolder dialogue on women’s health. It is comprised of young professionals who identify as women, are leaders in their community, and have a passion for advancing the full spectrum of women’s health.
