BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre Foundation has forged a strong, collaborative partnership with the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).

BC Women’s is the provincially designated referral centre for women facing high-risk pregnancies and birth, and babies requiring life-saving newborn intensive care.

PHSA and BC Women’s share the goal of providing women and babies from across the province with access to high-quality, specialized healthcare services.

The partnership with PHSA is critically important. BC Women’s is able to provide our sickest newborns with the very best in care and medicine thanks to funding from the government and the generous support of donors.

When BC Women’s identified a pressing need for critical equipment and established the Newborn Intensive Care Unit Campaign, PHSA contributed $2.3 million.

Technology for the care and treatment of tiny, critically ill babies is continuously improving and developing. That’s wonderful news for parents, but keeping up with the newest developments in care is an ongoing financial challenge. Funding from both government and private donors is critical to our success.

Healthy women, health babies and healthy families are the driving spirit behind every program and every equipment purchase at BC Women’s.

The commitment, vision and generosity of our donors complement the core funding provided by the BC government. By working together, we are able to fund the newest innovations and technology – the leading-edge equipment required to provide leading-edge care.
