As the profile of the highly successful Portobello West market grows, so do the benefits for BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre Foundation.
“We feel it is important to support the initiatives of the BC Women’s Hospital,” says Portobello West Director Carlie Smith. “It directly touches many of the lives of our clients and vendors, a high percentage of whom are women.”
Vancouver’s first local fashion and art market, Portobello West donated 100 per cent of the proceeds of its guidebook sales to B.C. Women’s in September. This month, on October 29, Portobello West will be holding a silent art auction, with partial proceeds of the auction benefiting BC Women’s. (Click here for more information).
Situated at the stunning Edgewater Stage at the Plaza of Nations (750 Pacific Boulevard), Portobello West is surrounded by an abundance of parking, is accessible by Skytrain, Aquabus and is just a short walk from the major shopping districts of Yaletown and Robson Street. This fall, the market is held on the last Sunday of each month with the exception of December, when it will be held on Sunday, December 10th.
