Mums for Mom April 15 - May 13

Spring is a Time to Celebrate Motherhood!

For the past four years BC Women's supporters have celebrated Mother's Day by contributing to our annual Mums for Moms promotion.

From April 15th and May 13th, 2007, with every purchase of a potted chrysanthemum from 42 MarketPlace IGAs, one dollar will be donated to BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre Foundation. Each year Mums for Moms has attracted more attention through the generous support of our partners MarketPlace IGA, CTV and Black Press. The program has grown from a $1,500 donation from MarketPlace IGA in 2004 to over $3,000 in 2005. Last year we received a very generous gift from MarketPlace IGA of $6,000!

"2006 saw a huge growth in participation, almost doubling the amount of mums purchased in 2005," says Mark McCurdy, Director of Marketing with Marketplace IGA. "We are very proud to be supporting BC Women's Hospital in such a unique and rewarding way."
