Fundraising Luncheon

The BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre Foundation’s 9th Annual Illuminations Fundraising Luncheon was held Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Vancouver.

In a ballroom filled with more than 400 enthusiastic donors, sponsors and guests, the ninth annual Illuminations fundraising luncheon succeeded in raising $65,000 for BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of the speaker sponsor, Fasken Martineau, American feminist and author, Naomi Wolf, addressed-and impressed-the crowd with her impassioned remarks about the beauty industry and the havoc it continues to wreak on the self-esteem of women and girls.
