Why Your Gift Is Important:
Women's Hospital
With over 7,200 births every year (over 250,000 births since inception), Women's is Canada's busiest and largest obstetrical centres. It is also the only source of tertiary maternity care in the province. BC Women's provides the highest level of care to pregnant women and newborns throughout BC with provincial services including its Medical Genetics Program, Centre for Prenatal Diagnosis and Treatment, Maternal Transport Team, and Intensive Care Nursery.
Women's Health Centre
Women's provides a broad range of specialized health services that address the health needs of women of all ages and backgrounds. These include world-class services in breast health, substance dependency, osteoporosis, HIV/AIDS, and reproductive health.
Research
Research is a core component of all clinical activities throughout Women's. Through the Women's Health Research Initiative, BC Centre of Excellence for Women's Health, and BC Research Institute for Children's & Women's Health, Women's works to advance knowledge and care for women, newborns, and their families, across British Columbia and around the world.
