BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre Foundation would not be able to run the many programs, services, events and fundraising efforts without the generous help of many committed volunteers.

Administrative Volunteer Positions

Post-Partum Package Volunteers

DATE: Reccuring monthly on the last week of the month. 2 hours, any time between 9AM – 4PM

LOCATION: BC Women’s Hospital Foundation, D310-4500 Oak Street

DESCRIPTION:

With over 7,000 babies born at BC Women’s each year, we ensure each new mother leaves our hospital with a Post-Partum Package. This package includes information pertaining to their health, and the health of their baby. 

We are seeking four (4) volunteers to assist for two hours each with putting together these informational packages. There is flexibility in the timing, and you are welcome to notify us in advance of when you are able to be of assistance. We will provide proof of hours in the form of a Volunteer Reference Letter.

Vendors Market Recruitment Volunteers

DATE: Recurring, 2 hours, any time between 9AM – 4PM

LOCATION: BC Women’s Hospital Foundation, D310-4500 Oak Street

DESCRIPTION:

What is the Vendor Market?

The Vendor Market is offered to showcase a variety of products from local vendors, artisans, and small business owners. The BC Women’s Vendor table is located in the Shaughnessy Cafeteria, on the first floor of BC Women’s hospital – 4500 Oak Street. Over 7,000 patients, staff members, nurses, and doctors have the opportunity to shop for a gift, a special occasion, or just for the fun of it.

What types of volunteers are we looking for?

We are seeking volunteers to assist with recruitment of new vendors. The ideal volunteer has an awareness and interest in artisans and small businesses in Vancouver. There is flexibility in the timing, and you are welcome to notify us in advance of when you are able to be of assistance. We will provide proof of hours in the form of a Volunteer Reference Letter.

 

Event Volunteer Positions

Birth Fair 2017 Volunteers

DATE: February 25 + 26, 2017

LOCATION: Cloverdale Agriplex - 17763 62 Ave Surrey, BC

DESCRIPTION:

This brand-new show is the first of its kind in the Fraser Valley and was created specifically for the many thousands of culturally diverse families, neighbourhoods and communities in the Fraser Valley.

As one of the fastest growing regions in all of Canada, the idea behind the Birth Fair show is to bring together a unique selection of practitioners, specialists, care providers and therapists involved in the family planning and birthing process.

All $5 tickets will go directly to BC Women’s Hospital Foundation to help fund critical care services for newborns + families in BC.
