Green Shield Canada donates to help those with complex chronic diseases

July 2, 2014
Green Shield Canada generously donated $50,000 to BC Women’s Complex Chronic Diseases Program, the only clinic of its kind in Canada. The funding is supporting the creation of patient education web-based videos to deliver quality information and support to individuals across British Columbia and across Canada coping with challenging chronic illnesses.

“We are so thankful to Green Shield for such a generous donation. With this amazing donation our team has the opportunity to provide high quality multimedia health literature to people throughout the province of BC and Canada. Delivering health information in this way helps us serve people who are desperately searching for answers and support regarding their illness. Within our program, we have some patients that are homebound and are unable to attend education groups in person due to their severe illness. These multimedia education tools will allow them to engage more fully in their care at the program. With your support, these educational videos can help us reach out to people on a larger scale and give them some answers and a maybe even a little hope.”    ~ Darci Rosalie, RN Complex Chronic Diseases Program
